Publication Ethics

The Journal of Green Building Design is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing. We require all authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the following principles:

  1. Originality & Plagiarism

    • Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration elsewhere.
    • Plagiarism in any form (including text, data, or ideas) is strictly prohibited. All sources must be properly cited.

  2. Authorship Integrity

    • Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research.
    • Guest or ghost authorship is not permitted. All authors must approve the final manuscript.

  3. Peer Review Transparency

    • Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review to ensure impartial evaluation.
    • Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest and treat submissions confidentially.

  4. Conflicts of Interest

    • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the work.

  5. Data Fabrication/Falsification

    • Fabrication or manipulation of data, images, or results is unethical and grounds for rejection or retraction.

  6. Ethical Approval

    • Studies involving human subjects, animals, or sensitive data must include proof of ethical approval from relevant authorities.

  7. Corrections & Retractions

    • Errors or misconduct identified post-publication will be addressed transparently via corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern.

  8. Open Access & Copyright

    • All published articles are freely accessible. Authors retain copyright but grant the journal exclusive publishing rights.
